Parent Involvement
We are a “cooperative” preschool which means our parents take an active role in the management of the school and participating in their child’s education. We have several opportunities that fit the schedules of working parents and stay home parents.
Membership Meetings
- Mandatory attendance at membership meetings to obtain information
re: programs, field trips, daily activities, fundraisers, etc.
- Various child development topics presented.
- Calendar of scheduled meetings provided in packet.
Serving Days
- Attend serving days as scheduled.
- Provide healthy snack, drink, and paper products.
- Clean up after snack.
- Schedule provided at orientation meeting and via the Yahoo newsgroup.
Field Trips
- Chaperone or drive on 2 field trips per semester.
- Sign-ups available at membership meetings and posted.
Children’s Programs
- 3 per year (Halloween, Winter, and Spring).
- Bring one food item for each program.
- Perform one duty for each program.
- Sign-ups available at membership meetings.
- Dates of programs available on enclosed calendar.
Parent Work Days
- Participate in 1 workday per school year (scheduled in January and May).
- Sign-ups available at membership meetings.
- Dates of workdays available on enclosed calendar.
Fundraising
- Participate in 2 fundraisers per year (garage sale and silent auction/raffle).
- Dates of fundraisers available on calendar.
- Sign-ups available at membership meetings.
- Garage Sale

| Work a set-up and a sales shift per sign-ups. |
- Silent Auction
| The silent auction/raffle is scheduled in the spring of each year. |
| Provide at least $75 worth of raffle basket and/or silent auction items, and sell raffle tickets. |
